This is about as classic island as it comes. Tucked away in the Caribbean this island has a history of pirates and buried treasure. Romance comes easy here amongst the white sandy beaches and clear turquoise water. There are horse to ride and a fantastic underwater world to explore (there are reefs and diving here), scuba, snorkeling or kayaking are made for this place.. Or you can choose to laze around with your loved one and do nothing. Avoid all inclusive packages where your meals are included - the best food we found was from independent businesses, not our hotel.

Set amongst rolling hills, a picturesque lake and a mountainous backdrop the town of Wanaka is about as breath taking as they come. I was here a long time ago (over ten years ago) so I don’t know how much it might have changed but when I visited it was lovely and quiet and laid back - especially in comparison to it’s neighboring city Queenstown. This is a place of beautiful hiking, breath-taking views and water sports coupled with delicious restaurants and cafes. It’s easy to fall in love here - an idyllic little spot.
Do you ever dream of going somewhere where you’re totally cut off from society? Somewhere where there is literally nothing except beach, ocean, hut and some places to eat? Well here’s your spot on the Pacific Coast Zipolite feels completely cut off from the world. There is literally nothing to do here besides walk on the beach, play in the ocean, eat, drink and watch the sun set… It’s not a high end beach destination but a sweet ‘off-the-beaten-track’ type spot perfect for a day or two of doing nothing with your loved one.

By the looks of these pictures this probably doesn’t come off as one of the most romantic places in the world and in a conventional sense it is not. I didn’t come here with a boyfriend, I didn’t meet the love of my life here but I did fall head over heels with what will always be my greatest love… travel. This to me was the most magical spot on earth. Small town in the middle of no-where Burma. This is a place of dusty roads and rice fields. A town of little yellow butterflies and river to float down… a place of warm smiles and exotic food and drink. When I was here there was only electricity until 9pm and when the lights went out at night the sky was filled with stars like nothing I’d ever seen. There was also no hot water here but I remember boiling pots of water over a fire for a lovely warm ‘bath’. I could go on and on about my memories of Hsipaw but to me this place felt so exotic and so mysterious, it was a place where anything could happen. It’s a feeling I’ve found myself searching for the rest of my life. And one day I’ll return with that special someone.
Bold modern design and warm Mediterranean light filtering through shutters and casting long shapes across beautiful flooring. Traditional Spain meets the contemporary design world in exemplary fashion in the varied, exciting and chic fabulous Barcelona hotels across the city. True romance unfolds between crisp white sheets, surrounded by immaculate furnishings, or over a café con leche breakfast on a panoramic terrace. If you prefer your fairytale in classic, opulent places, there are extravagant hotels aplenty. Embellished walls with golden furnishings and antique furniture recreate a royal world in a city of passion and contradiction.

The best part of Soppong was how ‘off the beaten track’ this place felt. It’s a long road to get to this far northwest region of Thailand. And upon arrival you and your loved one will be greeted with lush, green jungle, breathtaking mountainous landscapes, monkeys and caves. The lodging in this place consists of huts set amongst the jungle… you and your significant other can fall asleep with the sound of the jungle hearing entire ecosystems busy at work. There is a fabulous cave in the area (Tham Lot) that is like descending into a deep, dark wonderland. The cave is huge and at sunset you can watch hundreds of bats flying out and hundreds of birds flying in literally blacking out the sky. So grab your loved on and fall off the end of the Earth here - this place is magical.

Think of fresh strawberries, bananas, marshmallows and warm melted chocolate… There is a chocolate bar in Sydney, Australia that is home to these delicious desserts and so much more. This place is adorable for a date, me personally… I could fall in love with just about anybody with this much chocolate involved :)
There are so many great spots in New Zealand. There are mountains and oceans, lakes and streams, volcanoes and hot springs, fjords and cloud forests… But one of the most romantic activities I came across in New Zealand was touring the wine region of Marlborough. Picturesque vineyards, delicious restaurants, beautiful wines… what a great trip to take with your partner. sigh…

Nestled in the emerald foothills of Spain, hugging the Atlantic coast lies a small fishing village by the name of Lekeitio. Lekeitio is in the Basque Country of Spain—the region of Spain applauded for some of the world’s best food (pintxos) and most breathtaking landscapes. Beautiful architecture, ocean-side setting and winding streets are just a few of the attributes of this town. Lekeitio is virtually tourist-free and makes for a most authentic experience.
Hang on tight while we grab the next page
