Bromo Tengger Semeru is a National Park in Java, Indonesia. ‘Bromo’ and ‘Semeru’ are the names of volcanos and ‘Tengger’ is name of the tribe who lives there.
This place is special because of the stunning sunrise. At 4 AM you catch a jeep and take it to the top of Bromo, at 4:30 AM the sun begins to rise and you sit and wait and watch this breathtaking landscape light up. Around 5 AM the sun reveals this amazing park… a black desert with volcanos often shrouded in smoke. It’s a really romantic spot to watch the sunrise with your loved one.
After that you can rent a jeep to drive you across the desert. It’s also possible to hire a horse to take you to the crater. What a fascinating place to explore!
