196. Multnomah Falls, Portland - USA
The images of this place almost say enough… magical wilderness, streams, a stone bridge and a stunning waterfall.  What a great romantic date!  There are trails in the area - you can see the bottom of the falls, you can go up on the stone bridge or even hike up to the top of the falls.  There’s also an ice cream shop and a restaurant on the grounds with stunning views, perfect right? ...

195. Banff, Canada
Many years ago, when I was traveling in Asia, I met a dream-blue-collar man from Canada.  I remember he told me he lived near Lake Louise and made snow at a ski resort in Banff.  We had a great 3 day affair and then I left the country.  7 years later my parents invited me to Banff with them.  How could I refuse?  This area is magnificent - the views are so beautiful they seem unreal.  This is a...

194. Havana, Cuba
I came here for my 26th birthday and this place is like walking into another world.  Like walking into the past.  The words ‘beautiful’ and ‘decrepit’ were constantly running through my mind as I explored the streets of Havana looking at the stunning, weathered architecture, the classic cars and the beautiful people… I remember having a romantic evening strolling...

193. Cameron Highlands, Malaysia
We came to Cameron Highlands merely to escape the hot temperatures of the lowlands (this region of Malaysia has wonderfully cool nights) only to find it completely beautiful. Set amongst rolling hills, the Cameron Highlands are great for a romantic getaway. You can hike in the stunning area, visit the boh tea plantation, pick strawberries… there are waterfalls and forests and a great little...

192. Bruges, Belgium
SUBMITTED BY: http://monamerique.tumblr.com/ Going to Bruges is like being swung back in time. It seems to be the closest thing I can image to a Flemish medieval city. In the Middle Ages it was very opulent due to its flourishing harbor. However, Bruges is not located on the seaside: a channel provided access from the seaside. However medieval this town may look, most of the buildings/houses are...

191. Capella Pedregal Resort, Cabo Mexico
Cabo San Lucas, is a picturesque town in Mexico. The town itself is set within a gorgeous landscape of ocean, mountains, and fantasticl landforms.  This is a place of deep sea fishing, whale watching, snorkeling, dune-buggy-ing… pretty much any vacation activity you can think of.  We stayed at and insanely luxurious resort called Capella Pedregal.  This place is breathtaking with fantastic...

190. Rio de Janeiro: Cidade Muito Romântica...
(submitted by someone who deactivated their tumblr) It is very possible that you’ll fall in love with the city itself more than any one person you might meet in Rio de Janeiro. (Although the cariocas as a whole are so warm, hospitable, and sexy that they’re also a major reason you’ll fall in love with the place.) I’m sure there are few places in the world with as much...

189. Bangalore, India
SUBMITTED BY: http://anindo.tumblr.com/ I used to live here growing up and it was the most magical place. What first seems like a concrete jungle where industrialization went wrong, you learn to love the night markets and the street vendors selling hot oily foods bursting with spices. The people are friendly, and some of the buildings in the newer parts of town are beautiful!

188. Krakow, Poland
SUBMITTED BY: http://fictitious-tales.tumblr.com/ Like any European city, Krakow does have a sense of romanticism in it’s streets. Right before Christmas, when I was there, there are markets in the squares filled with toys, jewellery, and clothing. Old buildings are bathed in warm light. Christmas lights light up the alleyways and twinkle off the wet cobblestone streets.

187. Rajasthan, Pushkar Camel Fair - India
SUBMITTED BY: http://www.learningtosee.net.au/ Sometimes romance is found in more unlikely situations of course we all love long romantic dinners and sunsents… but sometimes getting out of your element and experienceing something completely foreign with a loved one is terribly romantic. Find yourself swept away in the dusty dawn of Rajasthan India where 50,000 camels greet the day together...
