The images of this place almost say enough… magical wilderness, streams, a stone bridge and a stunning waterfall. What a great romantic date! There are trails in the area - you can see the bottom of the falls, you can go up on the stone bridge or even hike up to the top of the falls. I used to live here growing up and it was the most magical place. What first seems like a concrete jungle where industrialization went wrong, you learn to love the night markets and the street vendors selling hot oily foods bursting with spices. The people are friendly, and some of the buildings in the newer parts of town are beautiful!

Like any European city, Krakow does have a sense of romanticism in it’s streets. Right before Christmas, when I was there, there are markets in the squares filled with toys, jewellery, and clothing. Old buildings are bathed in warm light. Christmas lights light up the alleyways and twinkle off the wet cobblestone streets.
